Creative fridge left-over recipes

Do you often feel like you want to cook, look at a recipe and think you don't have the right ingredients at home?
Well the good news is, you don't need to go food shopping or abandon the idea by ordering food... Can you imagine not strictly following a recipe, you can actually get creative with whatever you have in the fridge!
According to the study of Beretta and Hellweg (2019), households account for 28% of the preventable food losses in tons of fresh substance, broken down by stages of the food chain; with 330kg of avoidable food waste per person per year and an equivalent CHF 600 saving potential per person per year.
At several occasions, people gather for a meal quite spontaneously and there is no time for shopping. Therefore it is to me a great way to: find a flexible option suiting our busy daily lives, discover new flavors and associations, create your own recipes and most importantly save the food you currently have rather than ending up throwing it away!
A few thoughts:
It is usually the vegetables or meat that people throw away. At the same time everyone usually has either legumes, pasta, rice at home ...Throw all of those in a frying pan and here's already a working recipe! You can easily upgrade your dish with herbs (like rosemary, basil, mint), nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, peanuts) or spices (try using full pepper rather than powder, it makes a big taste difference!) .
I gathered a few links for inspiration here:

Working with constraints or limitation sometimes avoids big dilemmas and overthinking, which can be even more relaxing.
Try, get into it, and make it fun! I am sure that with a little exercising, you will be the new food saver queens and kings!
